Life Before Her Eyes

Life Directed by Vadim Perelman, the Life Before Her Eyes movie has a rich cast starring Uma Thurman as Diana, Evan Rachel Wood as Young Diana, Eva Amurri as Maureen and Sherman Alpert as Diana’s husband professor Paul. The movie is a combination of two genres; Thriller and Drama and is set to be shown in nationwide theaters on 18 April.

The Life Before Her Eyes movie is based on the best-selling novel of Laura Kasischke. It details the tragic and dramatic life of Diana (Uma Thurman)–a suburban woman who begins to question her life on the 15th anniversary of a tragic high school shooting that has taken the life of her best friend.

Diana with her vibrant high school close friend Maureen vows to leave the sleepy Connecticut suburb at the very first opportunity. However, the memories of her adulthood begin to haunt her to the point when her life with professor husband Paul seems to be shaken.

Rotten Tomatoes reports that moving through both stages of Diana’s life, the movie goes deep to the point where a simple decision has changed her life as a high school senior.

Meanwhile, her husband has become increasingly absent, her daughter has taken to hiding from teachers, and worst of all, Diana’s own grip on reality is starting to falter. Moving seamlessly through both stages of Diana’s evolution, THE LIFE BEFORE HER EYES delves deep into the crossroads that we all face—where a simple decision can change the course of everything to come, and where a lifetime can be encapsulated in a single moment.

According to the New York Times, Diana was in the gray zone between childhood and adulthood, which was reminding her of that unhappy incident that has happened just before her high school graduation.

Flash forward years later, and Diana’s (played as an adult by Thurman) life isn’t anything like she imagined it would be as a young girl. As Diana’s traumatic past gradually comes into focus, it soon becomes obvious that she was profoundly affected by a pivotal event that occurred just prior to her high-school graduation.

Until the movie is shown in theaters, its official trailer is at your disposal to watch.
