Quarantine on October 17th

This year looks set to be one full of good horror movies. Indeed, another upcoming horror films can be added to the list. Quarantine is the U.S. remake of a Spanish horror film and will be released on October 17th. It’s directed by John Erick Dowdle and starring Johnathon Schaech, Jennifer Carpenter, Steve Harris and Jay Hernandez.

Everything starts when a television reporter and her cameraman are assigned to spend a whole night with the Los Angeles fire station to make a reports on how it operates. One of the usual calls brings Carpenter, Harris and fire station’s team to a small apartment building where they see police officers already investigating the house.

After a while they hear a woman shout, but soon they found out that she is infected by some unknown disease which makes her look and behave somewhat frighteningly. According to Toxic Shock TV, they soon decide to leave the building.

After a few of the residents are viciously attacked, they try to escape with the news crew in tow, only to find that the CDC has quarantined the building. Phones, internet, televisions and cell phone access have been cut-off, and officials are not relaying information to those locked inside. When the quarantine is finally lifted, the only evidence of what took place is the news crew’s videotape.
