The Spirit

The Spirit Horror movies are not among my favorites, but fictions spiced with elements from horror could be very interesting and appealing to watch. Both directed and written by Frank Miller, the Spirit hit US blockbusters this past December.

The movie stars such great actors as Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Eva Mendes, Gabriel Macht and Jaime King and details the life of the main hero of the film, who is born, murdered, and born again.

When a Rookie cop named Denny Colt returns from the beyond as the Spirit, his mission becomes to fight against the bad forces from the shadows of Central City. The movie tracks the cold hearted killer, the Octopus, who kills anyone unfortunate enough to see his face. The Spirit tracks this cold hearted killer from the city’s rundown warehouses to the windswept waterfront and all the while facing a bevy of beautiful women who either wants to seduce, love or kill the masked crusader.

Rotten Tomatoes reports that in the vein of Batman begins and Sin City, the Spirit takes us on a sinister, gut - wrenching ride with a hero who is born, murdered and born again.

The Spirit tracks this cold-hearted killer from Central City’s rundown warehouses, to the damp catacombs, to the windswept waterfront … all the while facing a bevy of beautiful women who either want to seduce, love or kill our masked crusader. Surrounding him at every turn are ELLEN DOLAN (Sarah Paulson), the whip-smart girl-next-door; SILKEN FLOSS (Scarlett Johansson), a punk secretary and frigid vixen; PLASTER OF PARIS (Paz Vega), a murderous French nightclub dancer; LORELEI (Jaime King), a phantom siren; and MORGENSTERN (Stana Katic), a sexy young cop.

Here is its official trailer. The movie promises to bring extreme but heart - touching scenes to its viewers.
