Comedies are always appealing not only for youngsters, but for adults if they are based on good and eventful plots. The new movie of Peter Cattaneo, The Rocker, is produced by Maya Forbes with Wallace Wolodarsky and is set to release this summer.

The movie boasts a rich cast starring Rainn Wilson as Robert ‘Fish’ Fishman, Josh Gad as Matt Gadman, Emma Stone as Amelia and Jason Sudeikis as David Marshall.

The Rocker details the life of a failed drummer who is given a second chance at fame. Robert Fishman is the extremely dedicated and astoundingly passionate drummer for the eighties hair band Vesuvius, who is living the rock n’ roll dream until he is kicked out of the band.

However, when Fisherman hears that his nephew’s high school rock band A.D.D. is looking for a new drummer, he makes efforts to become the newest member of this band.

SideReel reports that the movie follows him as he gets a second chance at fame when he joins the garage band of his nephew Matt (played by Gad).

His love interest (Christina Applegate) is the mother of the band’s guitarist, Curtis (Teddy Geiger). Pete Best, a former member of The Beatles who suffered a similar fate, has a cameo role in the film as himself.
